A review of new trends in the design of “next generation schools” from pre-K to 12. The science of learning, the impact of technology in education, potential partnerships in education and purpose-based learning environments will be discussed. Studies on converting existing spaces into new next-gen learning environments, the new SPS Sherwood Elementary School and its partnerships, andnet-zero capable design will also be presented.
